More skills training and community activities are now available at Anishinaabeg of Naongashiing First Nation's newly built community centre.
The new facility will also provide the community with job search training, nutritional programs, and space for local events and gatherings.
These programs and services are crucial to promoting healthy lifestyles, strengthening employment and improving the quality of life on the First Nation.
"This community centre will give members of the Anishinaabeg of Naongashiing First Nation more opportunities to gain life and employment skills and more space for community activities. It is a step forward in meeting the challenges of access to education, health and jobs."
– Brad Duguid
Minister of Aboriginal Affairs
"We are very excited about this centre. It will make it possible for us to come together as a community and help us provide better employment skills training programs and other services."
