Industry, education and local governments from 15 county regions formed the Southwest Economic Alliance (SWEA) in 2006 to develop a regional approach to issues such as investment marketing or infrastructure planning.
SWEA will use $300,000 in new provincial funding to support:
Supporting economic development by forming key partnerships with the private sector is one of the government's five key economic priorities. The others are:
