The province is investing $138,000 to help replace the existing medical centre with a more modern facility that will better meet the health care needs of the community. This new medical facility will also serve as the centre piece for the revitalization of the business core of Madoc and help entice new businesses to the area.
The funding is part of the Rural Economic Development Program which invests in community-based projects in three priority areas:
"This centre will contribute to the revitalization of downtown Madoc and provide the community with access to high quality health care closer to home. That is a goal our government is very pleased to support."

Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs
"Thanks to the support of the Ontario government, the construction of the new Tri Area Medical Centre will become a reality. This investment will help improve the quality of health care local residents can expect now and in the future."
