Jean Doull, a Sarnia-area literacy champion, has been awarded the Ontario 2009 Council of the Federation Literacy Award.
Premier Dalton McGuinty honoured Ms. Doull for her important work in adult literacy and skills training. For 25 years, her tireless efforts have helped bring literacy services to Sarnia-Lambton. Ms. Doull's contribution to literacy training has touched thousands of Ontario adult learners, helping them to achieve their goals and participate more fully in community life.
The Council of the Federation Literacy Award was created by Canada's Premiers in 2004 to recognize the valuable contribution made by Canadian literacy leaders.
